I went and read the available LN. The story was interesting but the writing felt amateurish and not as good. I wonder if the manga adaptation will be able to smooth out rough spots.

@Dezaki The freebies were because he told the shopkeeper his Earth name. Which tell the shopkeeper that the MC was a summon person like him. So shopkeeper wanted to support the MC since he himself had given up on finding the way home.

@Dezaki Based on the previous chapters, I think a majority of the purchase were potions of various types. The cloak was part of that purchase as well.

Despite losing an eye and a leg, Guido still seems to be strong enough to be par with the king. I know that they probably didn't really get serious. But it looks like Guido is still strong enough to train all the royal soldiers.

It is quite refreshing to read about a king who is, while very capable, this carefree and informal toward his citizen. Even if the citizen seems to tired of his shit and tried to avoid making eye contacts XD.

This narrative is pretty rare in all my years of reading manga. I wish the battle scene was better (not just the MC static standing releasing the technique). But the art were expressive enough.

What a way to remind the readers that Atou is, essentially, an evil being.
