I'll be honest, I'm really happy we moved past the shitty love rival trope, even with problems from her parents I hate how most shoujo manga cant seem to figure out how to have drama/tension without throwing in a love rival which always takes away from the story

I love how this manga is subverting so many annoying manga tropes, MC (mildly) abuses his time power (as many probably would) and the dreaded speech about how it would be wrong to kill the assassins thankfully never came.
