The story had potential to be like a Duke's Daughter in regards to management of a territory and world building, but this pacing is horrible even for a first chapter. It feels way too fast and drama coming in already before establishing a backstory for the new world is really throwing me off.
@Harry_Dong no problem.
@Ryrie
@LysandersTreason unfortunately not yet. I read what was posted of the story directly from the Syosetu website. It was a pain, but I wanted to know who cursed Douglas and what would happen, so I kept reading until a certain point.
@daime17 the web novel didn't say why, but it was probably a lie to make it seem like he gave him something precious to signify their friendship. I doubt anyone would curse a ring that was really owned by their mother to hurt someone else.
I'm so happy that they gave the psycho lesbian Yamai way less time. She was so bad at one point that I was about to drop the series.
I love this chapter, but I would have choked Najimi lmao
@Fucking_Idiot a girl what wants to grow up too fast and an older male that lets her vent to him while encouraging her to enjoy the freedom she has now. From what I can tell from the past chapters.
@JaneJeon that's what it looks like. I'm guessing that he was in love with Kaede and subconsciously used Kaoru as a replacement. I
bet he just realized that somewhere down the line, he fell in love with Kaoru as well.
I used to hate the grandfather, but after seeing his history I can't quite hate him as much anymore.
And I think I see why he treated Kyouichi and everyone else so coldly. Even though they were family, every time he looks at them he would have to remember the future that he wasn't able to...
