There are always people who enjoy something. If you do, good for you. However, this doesn't mean everything is equally good or there is no way to compare one to another or make solid arguments in favor of one or another.

There's one little trick with PNGs that the savvy scanlators use to very good results and one that completely blows JPG out of the water in a fair comparison. High-quality scans, especially when done on a high-detail manga with lots of shading and complex gradients, will always be very grainy...
