Shinomiya Kouta wa Mada Shinenai -Border of the Dead-

@Klauthzer0 Depends on your definition of death. Medical practice in certain countries dictates that the cessation of some biological activities equals death. In this particular case we have people without heartbeat, without oxygen intake, whose reason for their movement remains unknown. Nobody...

    Amano Megumi wa Suki Darake!

@Eliminateur They're out there, and you know damn well as I do what they're about and why people would not want to link them to the main work.

    Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles

First the teacher, then the isekai'd kid and now this girl. Making them fall in love and then leaving because reasons. This guy is already starting to piss me off.

    Dogeza de Tanondemita

If I kill this guy will I get his dogeza powers?
  5. I

    Suuji de Sukuu! Jyakushou Kokka

The virgin Dragon Quest fan. The chad mathematician. Taunting aside, any isekai that tries to teach something, by design is already more interesting than the usual "oops, sorry you dead, here's this OP power with zero drawbacks, now go get yourself some slaves or something."

My Lover Was Stolen, and I Was Kicked Out of the Hero’s Party, but I Awakened to the EX Skill “Fixed Damage” and Became Invincible. Now, Let’s Begin …

@Mielly Blame Sword Art Online. Before it came, isekai actually put some effort in the worldbuilding. Yes, I know SAO is technically not an isekai, but the Japanese never got the memo.

Bocchi Hakase to Robot Shoujo no Zetsubou Teki Utopia

Was that the "terrible" ending you warned us about?

    Sousou no Frieren

Sorry, Aura the Guillotine, you're cute, but Frieren is cuter.

    Chi no Wadachi

Not fair, the dad did what he could. It's not his fault that the mother was a psycho who knew how to disguise it.

    Sousou no Frieren

@MangaField At least they have names. Compare to Goblin Slayer which has the laziest naming sense in fiction.

Himegasaki Sakurako wa Kyoumo Fubin Kawaii!

Damn, I already like the girl, which makes it harder to accept that she's going to lose.

    The Villainess Became a Commoner

So, otome isekai without the isekai. Color me intrigued.

Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time

The longer this goes on, the more I want his lover to find out and dump his ass.
  16. I

    Sousou no Frieren

@MangaField There's this vague sorrow that comes with desperately trying to hold onto the slowly fading vestiges of happier times, as seen with Frieren's obsession with magic. Like other great pieces, it's literally the journey that charms the reader, which is often misunderstood in the "slow...

Akuyaku Reijou tte Nani wo Sureba Iindakke?

That's the shoujo equivalent of having a guy who got transported to another world and hasn't played a JRPG in his life.
  18. I

    Mushoku no Eiyuu

I'll never understand the appeal of the boring extremely proficient hero who gets praised left and right for beating up people.
