i've seen this sorta thing happen many time before... it's when folks use bold or increase font size... and esp annoying when certain folks combine bold/huge font to tell everyone what they're posting is "NSFW".

seems logical that folks would want to update covers as they are published / scanlated. just as u argued that it may spoil the storyline for some manga, one can argue it doesn't spoil for a lot of other manga. a rule for all manga where update on covers are forbidden seem arbitrary/overblown, if...

reason is, simply put, chronological order in scanlating the volumes. the covers are updated chronologically as well. i guess @BlindLoke 's trouble is with the covers containing spoiler. it is an inconvenience for you, i'm sure. but it would create a lot more confusion and dissatisfaction...
