I don't remember the exact numbers, but the largest harems I remember with named characters (so excluding series when the protagonist is pursued by countless unnamed mobs, or have an entire race falling fir him, etc.) are around 10-20 members, so if this series really manages to reach 100 it...

Which kills almost all my interest in those kind of collaboration projects, because without the male lead most of the appeal of the series I read is lost to me.

Can I at least take this as reassurance that there won't be a tragic or bittersweet ending?

I have to admit that while I love this series, I too am more and more bothered by the yuri fanservice the author keeps shoving in. It's frustrating that some girls had more physical intimacy between themselves than with Rentarou.
