Interesting that Otcho's entire life is basically a shounen manga, or at least a shounen manga reader's fantasy.

I'm going to guess that this... is Otcho? Seeing as how he mysteriously disappeared, joined with a group of Tibetan monks, and now we see this Shogun character with apparently intimate knowledge of the happenings of the friend group.

I find it pretty unlikely that "Friend" is either Sadakiyo or Otcho, considering that Sadakiyo gets eliminated for the same reason Otcho does: too obvious. If I had to guess, I'd say that it's probably Fukubei, who is being suspiciously helpful. Of course, this is all happening fairly early on...

No way Otcho is "Friend", for the same reason that the police officer had doom signs written all over him: these things don't get revealed so early into the series, they're still introducing characters for Christ's sake!

I love the fact that Kenji doesn't make it. Well, I would've loved it if he did make it too. I guess the gesture is what matters, the fact that it's eminently relatable, and hits at something uniquely melodramatic about the passage of time.

I have no idea what is going on, why people are behaving the way they are, or what the decision-making process is looking like. These characters have a completely blue-and-orange interiority. Incomprehensibility does not make for very good horror.
