Wow some big backstory we got here, so Koma is some kind of Liondog divinity with a curse if I get it right. Also, like I suspected, as a Bakeneko Kurona is really able to compete with Koma strength, meaning those guys really are high tier ayakashi.

@Bainhardt The anime was Ok-ish, but really I've always though the animator didn't understand the message behind watamote. It was probably seen as a gag manga with some jerkass and woke remarks, but it became clear along the years the manga was rather supposed to be a depiction of the authors...

@miyako19 I'm saying demon because in western european culture (at least in french culture), a Japanese a Youkai is called a "demon" instead of a "spirit", though this is a different kind of demon than the ones we get from christian literature.

Ok, they're a french word for this kind of piece of fiction, it's called a "nanar", a bad movie/manga/etc that is very bad and full of issues, but on its own way it follows and you can still enjoy reading it. This saga is exactly it, it's badly narrated, the chapters are pretty lame...

Isn't Kurona supposed to be a very strong Bakeneko (near imortal demon cat) and Koma some kind of stone Lion-Dog divinity ? I doubt the both of them would ever loose a fight.

It was an excellent ride to follow. It was totally worth it, it's really one of those series I have been lucky to follow since the begining. It'll stay a great favorite in my heart for what remains of my life.
