A bit of a mistranslation in this. (Perhaps to make it read more as natural English?) When asked if he has a girlfriend, he answers "No comment." in the raws. He neither confirms nor denies that he has one. It's only a small thing, but I think that nuance is important here.

What a pity that it's so hard to translate "Honmei choco" naturally -- and I appreciate that the translator made a valiant effort. "I don't want them unless they're your real feelings." might come closer to what's said in Japanese I guess, but the nuance of that being "real romantic feelings"...

Damn. I was just enjoying this for the sweet, innocent story that it is -- when I couldn't click forward because everything had disappeared. I hope this gets put back up so that those who can appreciate it for what it is can have the opportunity to do so.

@GurenNoOu Yeah, besides that mistranslation I think the manga itself has (so far) done a fairly poor job of adapting the novel into the manga medium. There's too much that isn't conveyed, or is confusing, or easy to misinterpret if you only have the manga to go by.

There's a mistranslation causing confusion. It's not "ヤツだわ” (that guy), but ”ヤッたわ” I did it (i.e. sex). on this page https://mfbunkoj.jp/special/nishino/ If you scroll down to 竹内君 (Takeuchi-kun) You can see "俺、ローズちゃんとヤッたわ”　(I did it with Rose-chan.)
