@Tarlo Mahou Shoujo Site takes place in, at earliest 2017. We see the Mahou Shoujo of the End characters in 2017 and they looked older in that than they do in this, iirc. But... this is a totally different system than in MSotE. In literally every conceivable way.

Alright, I'll explain things for you guys. As spoiler-free as possible. Mahou Shoujo of the End has online translations on mangarock, though they're the SSE translations. Less literal, replaces "stick" (they literally say "sutekki", like in mahou shoujo site) with "wand," and other weird stuff...

I really like this series. Having been in a similar situation, so far it's pretty realistic and cool about it's subject matter. Hope the translators keep up the keep work on this.

@fennec But... it's implied biological sex doesn't matter, because Kiyoharu isn't brought up at all as an option for harming the King. It also wouldn't make sense because the existence of the Necktie Stick would inherently mean that King would be harmed from it.

Notice that Kayo kept the Necktie Stick (the one with the female symbol), the one that's sole ability is supposed to be "gender conversion", which I believe means "magical sex change." Since it would be basically useless in battle, the implication seems to be that it's going to get used on Kiyo...
