I don't want this series to get a romantic subplot, it's cozy as-is. I just want some middle-aged dude cooking for his dog and slime friends. No need for convoluted isekai tropes. It feels like Dungeon Meshi kinda, without the driving force of retrieving the sister.

@OniBarubary And that's clearly a skill he learned from the later chapters of Jitsu wa as well. The beginning chapters were kinda slow like everything else, but the farther he got along the more story and more impact he pushed out. It's kinda fun watching mangaka grow.

@Minkulus I mean... I'd cut him a small bit of slack considering that he's a kid. She deserves better, I agree, but he's stupid because kids are stupid and that's okay.

The mangaka DID draw porn, and still does on the side (mostly Idolm@ster stuff). That's how they started. A lot of doujinshi artists are graduating from porn to their own serializations, like Tosh with Shokugeki no Soma.

I tried reading a few chapters (got through chapter 8) hoping it'd get somewhat better but this is pretty dumb. Like, I'm all for fluff but the author just can't write people at all.
