@STORRM IIRC (just double checked ch 1 to make sure), she picked the name "Argento Vampir" or something with "Vampir(e)" in English, so it's not that obvious to people in that world. Translator just did a bad job of conveying that.

@yohane Depends entirely on the culture. Plenty of nations just killed prisoners they captured in battle without issue. A whole "leave no prisoners" thing. Heck, some of the Mesoamerican tribes did war explicitly to capture and sacrifice captives. "War crimes" is a completely modern idea.
