They have gone without a successor for 300 years, can't they wait just a few more to get a demon successor instead of settling for a royal family of short-lived humans.
I guess they could get one of the heirs down the line to marry a demon to get demon blood and longevity back into the royal...
I'm not fond of when the story just happens to the main character while they take minimal action. And it doesn't feel like that is going to change, so this is probably not for me.
As far as comment reaction systems go, i always appreciate separation of "funny" and "useful" upvotes for anywhere you might want serious answers/reviews.
Though I don't really miss it beyond wishing i could give a laugh react to a good joke every now and then. 😄
I like that she still acts in a way where we can see how she would be a villainess if she got misunderstood. Like, in this chapter if the guys had stepped in, her giving her "spare wand" to replace the broken one wouldn't have come off as her being as nice as she secretly is.
It is so interesting. I have said that to myself several times while reading this. The characters are all flawed in ways, they continue to develop differently than i expect, but not in ways that makes me dislike them anymore.
My mom gets mad if anyone suggest we want to eat a restaurant burger with our hands. Fast food is whatever, but at a restaurant you use the utensils for anything that's not full of bones, that's her rule.
I think it goes way overboard. The gender swap is meaningless if they just play everything straight regardless.
I'll give it a few chapters to see if it evens out.
I think that scene was at least partially to really sell the idea that he is indeed still mentally a 3X year old. She is a girl that he helped for a while, but didn't raise, who is very much an adult by now. So it's fine by me.
