It's not really a sci-fi 'twist' if the sci-fi is right there in the open and they're openly talking about it. It's not an overwhelming amount of it and I think it gives just a touch of an almost cyberpunk feel.
@APMi You've cracked the code, the guys keep rolling hoping for a good girlfriend while the reader keeps hoping for a good guy each time a new one is introduced. It's gacha within gacha within gacha, a meta masterpiece.
Other than if he starts aching for the real thing again, having the full catalog of sounds means he can probably stop stalking her in person so it's a win-win really.
No lie, I actually really like Akira despite the story not even hiding that she's a third wheel. It's nice to see an outsider's reaction to the two's weird ass relationship while also serving to keep MC's mentality a little grounded without outright denying his dream. She's a good girl.
I think it's cute that her attempts to use the harem personalities to flirt with Senpai have been steadily breaking down more and more as she's becoming more honest with herself. My ideal development would be them finally getting together as a proper couple and then the other personalities...
