Something that should probably be noted alongside the forum link is that fact that you need an approved account to access a link if it has alt-text. This means some mediafire links are unavailable for visitors

1) Yes, the world has trusted hardware and dedicated bandwidth. That's not the point of @home projects. Protein folding and @home projects at a whole are particularly suited well suited to highly distributed computing with only needed synchronization being a few uploads/downloads a day...

Folding is far more performant and power efficient on a CPU than GPU and by default FaH runs at the lowest priority regardless. If FaH is interfering with system usability or if your laptop is getting too hot to the touch, maybe don't run a longlived computational workload on what is...

Images are staying right where they are on the platter. The issue was the domain change and the codebase not designed for multiple domains. Now, the issue is just caching and Holo not being awake to flush the cache

The issue is not in changing the social interactions of staff, it's in indicating on whose behalf a comment is made. Whether something is the opinion/suggestion of the user vs the stance of the site.

Reddit's mod comments provide a similar mechanism to indicate whether a comment is on behalf of reddit staff, on behalf of the subreddit, or on behalf of themselves.
