This is a real festival, by the way. If you watch some of the recordings from the late '90s that people have posted on YouTube, I think you'll find that this chapter captured the atmosphere pretty well. There are some clips from more recent years, but the atmosphere is quite different than it...

@sirflimflam Pretty sure he is lying. The author hints at that because his thought right before he says he has ED is that he needs to do something to get out of continuing the conversation. He goes with ED because he saw it on the magazine earlier so naturally that's the first excuse that comes...

To those who took interest in this manga, apologies for the late update. My grandmother died not long after I posted the first chapter and I lost all interest in continuing. Now that I've had time to grieve, future updates should not take nearly as long.

The group translating this finally got to chapter 90, so it was interesting compare the two. I think their translation was a little clearer in certain places, but I feel like your line of "I can no longer bear having this child on the battlefield" has a much stronger impact than the other...
