Aight, so the way i see it, he's either trying to find ways to blame himself because he feels guilty for his mom, or he was the one who actually did it, and the mother took the blame. The second option is really stupid, and doesn't make any sense, though.

They get along well as friends, but the feeling i get from them is that they're always not fully comfortable romantically with each other, like they always have to make great efforts to keep the relationship going. It may be a bit tiresome for them to do that constantly. There's no easy way out...

@CashRoot He probably isn't even hallucinating. It is probably either a dream, or just a weird visual representation of him looking at the darkness of his own mind. In any case, i feel like theese last few chapters have been just weird and disappointing. Hopefully the end is still salvageable.

I like the characters, there's a nice contrast between them. I don't get people complaining about things like this chapter in a slice of life type of manga. The whole point of a series like that is the interactions between the characters and the situations they get themselves in, so what's wrong?

@Chickyboom it is supposed to be a less idealized and 'realistic' version of the characters. IN THEORY, it is how they really look like, but it might be a version corrupted by his own feeling of self-guilt.
