@drig2
The above is a summary off the top of my head, and reading Vol 3 is advisable to get the proper idea.
Off topic, vol 5 was also mostly good. Vol 4 ended on a blatant cliffhanger and waiting was just frustrating though. Overall, I honestly had high hopes from the series after reading...
@FutureHacker222 Well it being a joke does not make it any less meaningless or stupid. And it's effectiveness as a joke is ,atleast IMO, highly suspect.
Regardless, If this keeps happening for the next chapters(not necessarily on the same scale,with maybe 4-6 groups),It'd stop being a joke. And...
@Algoinde Well I think your point would be valid if people were not wasting their time translating the same chapter more than a dozen times. I think it's a valid point that translating the same chapter a dozen or so times(already available on MD) makes less sense that translating a dozen or so...
Have to wonder how many groups on average will scanlate the series properly. 2?3?5?...10? Or maybe everyone will assume that someone else will translate next chapter,and so no one will translate it in the beginning? Then everyone will start scanlating at once, and the cycle will continue...
From what I remember this is probably the best arc of the series. Although it's a shame it hasn't been scanlated, the second season of the anime will cover it now.
@bugmenot2 'Bruh', normal people don't have enough shits to give about JB to remember who their translator for Kaguya-sama is,esp when they all they are doing is a very quick and simple analysis of the 9+ groups doing a single chapter. And "bruh", you really should understand the difference...
@bugmenot2 Thanks for pointing that out. Though me being unaware is a more accurate description than "missing the fact" seeing as there was no information about him on MD, and you'd have to be on reddit to be aware about this. Also, since I was referring to scanlation groups and not individual...
Out of boredom and curiosity, lets' look at some of the scanlation groups that have released chapter 200.
1./a/nonymous
2.no group
3. /a/nonymous(alternative)
Needless to say, all of the above are nameless releases. As such, there is no concept of pride of prestige that can be applicable to...
Honestly if this continues for next chapter I wish MD put a stop to this. I'd rather prefer read the official Viz version of the manga rather than read 10 scanlation groups fighting a prestige battle over this single manga, while ignoring countless other manga with no scans
Oh God. I thought chapter 200 was some special feature or something. Seems the real problem isn't even the scanlation wars, but the fate of the other manga by Jaiminis Box since they don't allow their stuff to be hosted here. Hope it's not lost forever
I wonder what the value of yen is in the story. Inflation should be crazy in 2095,unless it is not accounted for and the value remains roughly the same
Is this the first time there have been takedown notices addressed to MD? It's kinda amazing how MD managed to stay under radar for so long. I of course hope that the titles are not taken down as requested, but realistically speaking that's highly unlikely. I guess it's a matter of time before...
