Honestly I'm just just confused on what Henry was trying to do by riding past Berta. Like was he trying to say "I can help but I'm not gonna?" If he wanted to do that, he could have just hung pack and just watched her fall off her horse.

There was so much progression and development this chapter I kind of fear the story might have gotten the axe and is trying to quickly rush toward a conclusion.
My impression of this series so far is that the plot is badly written. The author clearly wanted to create a tragic love story for the main couple where do to social awkwardness or reclusiveness, they were unable to correctly convey their feelings for one another.
But the execution is horrible...
I honestly am kind of frustrated by all the characters at this point. On the one hand, the brother is way too wishy wash . Either date your sister or don't but make up your mind and make it clear to everyone what you want rather than let everyone bash on you!
On the other hand, everyone else...

The guy gets bashed on a lot by his schoolmates up till now that I'm not surprised he didnt notice an actual girl was legitimately trying to flirt with him. Not to mention Maho tended to behave oddly with everyone up till now so the sudden increase in interest was unexpected.
The dark change in personality sith sensei is interesting, but it also feels pretty jarring fron a writing standpoint that'd he suddenly decide to veer in this direction.
Even though everyone is proclaiming a relationship between the brother and sister is creepy, I'm wondering more on why no one was stating this out loud before when the sister was avidly flirting with the brother. Up till now, most of everyone was focused either on that they were jealous or...
