@feha Of course it does. It's "New Communicate Online"/"Neko-Mimi-Neko", so every possible shitty bug is there. I bet there's a place you fall from the floor somewhere.
Nearly everything starts as rip off of something else these days. It's more surprising that some ideas almost never get copied, like Rakudai Kishi (that i know of. I'd like some more rip offs of it).
More important is how the author deviates from the ripped off starting point.
@nomadicengi so I went to see if i could find some breakdown in energy costs of moving air directly versus moving the gears, and the web novel was different, in that he made two tools: the hair drier was the second, it was simpler (from google translate: "The parts are simple, only the case, the...
@nomadicengi I'm thinking the "wind efficiency" he's talking about might be related to to use magic to move the gears as if they were being moved by an electric motor, like a real dryer, rather than using the magic circle to cast wind magic, which might (just might, we have no details) require...
@brokenglish I just caught up with the WN as well.
Unfortunately it doesn't look good, because there hasn't been a new volume of the LN since december, and no new chapter of the WN since february, and the author hasn't made any new annoucements for anything.
The only thing that gives me hope...
@MolaCola They posted an update back in march saying the translation for this was dead at the time, and while they wanted to continue at some point, the team didn't feel like it, and they had some other projects that had been dead longer, but they're still active, with their latest update one...
@KeiosKod Either there was no one else available with the energy to spare, or she didn't accept anyone else. Remember that they need someone to provide them with energy.
@AB2000 If you want to use something other Paint that's not Photoshop, try GIMP. It's free and should make things a bit easier.
I went looking for which fonts are commonly used for scans but the only sugestion of a font I found was wild words: http://fontsgeek.com/fonts/wild-words
Maybe someone...

1 - I think it's one of those cheat language skills that give full mastery over any all languages he may encounter.
2 - probably because it's something no one should be able to do, yet he easily did it, like what if someone casually lifted a skyscrapper with his bare hands.
@Cyreader
The authors likely have to license their works to the publisher, so they shouldn't be able to for a few years, and by then usually no one cares anymore.
@delle (translator) if you want to keep using a simple text editor, try notepad++. It will keep thetext even if the editor is closed without saving (as long as you don't explicitly close the tab without saving).
Question: do you still intend to keep translating?
I wouldn't have asked, since you answered the same question some tiem ago, but the twitter account your group profile links to is gone.
@HammerU89
Isn't it still too early to judge the story and MC?
I didn't read the author's previous work (I only watched the anime, years ago), but did the MC there start better than this one?
