I fell like I'm one of the few people who dislike this manga. The meta commentary is weak, the critiques towards harem works, doesn't really work, since in the majority of the series, the problems showed by the character are addressed, and the fact that the mc is not aware of the fiction makes...

The gay is strong in this one. This chapter proves that, the friend like Hiura even when he's on his "boy state". (Someone could tell this to Hiura, so he would be able to use his boys charms on the friend)

He doesn't identify as a woman, as far as we know. He just wants to be cute, to attract the atention if the guy he likes. At my view he's a cute gay guy
