You didn't address any of the shortcomings of the previous convention that I listed.

@yurirei I think the site admins will have to decide on that. The path of least resistance would be to continue the old per-volume numbering, but then there's the issue of magazine chapters not yet released in volumes...

The current author/artist search feature is useless for short pen names that appear as substrings in many other names. A database of authors and artists would probably be too much to ask for, but an "exact match only" feature like what e-hentai has would be simple to implement and very useful.
