It seems more likely that the sfx at the bottom of page 16 is just gaaaan (ガアアアン, though it'd more often be written ガーーーン) for shock rather than gamaaaan (ガマアアン).
Can I propose that the title be changed to "That girl is more than just cute"? I feel like the current English title is awkward at best and misleading at worst, and my proposal doesn't fundamentally change the meaning of the Japanese original title.
(I only started thinking about this after the DDoS debacle, so apologies if this is considered a necropost.)
I wanted to add some thoughts about reduced picture size in case this feature request gets picked up in the future.
Since it would obviously be too CPU-intensive on the servers to...
@421cookies It would definitely require additional storage space, but based on some back of the envelope calculations, likely not by more than 30-50% per chapter. And generally speaking, cloud storage is much cheaper than bandwidth.
As far as CPU load, it would never make sense to downscale...
A suggestion/request: how difficult would it be to add a setting to allow us to opt to read manga at a lower quality than the original upload size? I know many for-profit scam reader sites (e.g., MangaFox, KissManga, etc.) do this despite the wishes of the scanlators or users, but this might...
The premise is definitely cute, but what really strikes me about this manga is that use of shadows. Best shadow work I've seen for miles around (esp. page 4)
@fourthsheep I think that explanation is a bit of a stretch, since even in the many worlds interpretation spacetime moves "forward" at the same rate, so moving to an "alternate world/parallel universe" would have to put him in a world very near the same time as his own (much like the activation...
Oh, come on guys, we all know Jun can handle way more from all his training at the Aizawa dojo. Next day, he'll have a bandaid on his head and a cast and be just fine.
But that isekai as a tree spinoff manga better still happen.
I think wanting this story to _suddenly_ change into a yuri trivializes the emotions of Shino and Nozomi. Anyone who has been through a big loss like theirs understands the emotional struggles of coping with the sudden hole in your life and the desire to find someone to lean on for support and...
I'm so glad I didn't find this manga until today. I don't think I could have dealt with all of the multi-level betrayals and suspense for 3 months, and I would probably have dropped it if I were only able to read through the first 6 chapters.
Honestly, this is a hidden gem of a story that only...
In case no one mentioned it, the names of the main characters are part of the gag.
Kaji Daisuke ~= kaji (ga) daisuki = "I love household chores"
Iega Chiriko ~= ie ga chiri (mamire) = "house is covered in trash/dirt"
Man, technology really must have advanced in the future for vacuum cleaners to be so small and lightweight that Chii can move them around so easily, cordless, and yet still powerful enough to pick up a shag rug. I can't imagine a 5-year old wielding my behemoth vacuum cleaner like that...
@Esper She could also be a pretty badass investigator/detective, since she would immediately be able to determine if someone were guilty or innocent and figure out where they had holes in their alibi or where they hid evidence. Kind of like a "real" version of the TV show "The Mentalist" crossed...
