Ah. It seems that the Highschool Rumour Mill is the newest antagonist. It's a good thing that Ritsu isn't more popular in the school, otherwise the rumours would've quickly devolved from the two making out in the classroom to Itsuki/Izuki blowing the entire baseball team.

Honestly, even if the confession doesn't end up happening anytime soon, these fluffy moments between Itsuki and Ritsu are always a treat to read.

To be fair to Itsuki, he/she did try to press on with the confession regardless and probably would've succeeded if WorstGirl! Maya hadn't shown up. I'm gonna think the next trope is that the brother falls for Itsuki or something like that?

Veteran manga readers know that something will interrupt the confession, but I still find myself hoping for a pleasant surprise regardless.

I really like how even the most seemingly vile characters in AoT have understandable and sympathetic motivations. It's always refreshing to see when a Shounen series does this rather than fall back on the generic bad guy antagonist model.
