I don't think Minju is doing this on purpose either, but with popular people, it's easy to overlook some friendships in favor of maintaining others.

The kemono definitely don't have a good or evil compass that aligns with ours, but there's a pretty clear protagonist camp and an antagonist camp. I don't think it's unfair to call two sociopaths on their way to murder a lone defending grandpa for a promotion "evil".

I know they're evil, but damn Akagi and Kaede are cool. This manga does a really good job of making some charismatic villains.
