Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni - Vol. 10 Ch. 53 - Episode 53

@IGSkaarj I'm not saying "eros" as in alternative way of "love". I'm saying it as the alternative translation of ren'ai. Because ren'ai is a passionate love, so eros is a close one. @Vengeance22 too late, the novel has already licensed way before the manga. The official light novel translation...

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni - Vol. 10 Ch. 51 - Episode 51

@gagegageha Not really. it's verb or copula + wa/no. So I didn't make it desu-wa or desu-no because it's not the only thing that they are "modifying" for their "speech quirk".

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni - Vol. 10 Ch. 48 - Episode 48

@JakkRo or idk man, like support the author as now the series is accessible in language that you can understand? Unless you think that the author doesn't deserve getting paid from their own work then I have nothing to return.

@BloodKing1 it takes about 2-3 days to translate, proofread, clean, redraw, typeset, and recheck a chapter as long as we just focus working on the chapter. Unfortunately, this is just a hobby project that we do in our spare time as we have real life things to do and take care of.

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni - Vol. 9 Ch. 45 - Episode 45

@KaitouRed010 this argument can be used in any imperfect translation tho. Like how I left Yae's "-de gozaru", Rosetta's "-de arimasu", Goddess of Love's "-nanoyo", Linze's "-desu" and any future character verbal tics. It's just that this series has such a thing for its characters. Yup, it is...

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni - Vol. 9 Ch. 45 - Episode 45

@tuatara1 I doubt it being a Japanese and Japanese media's thing tho. It might appear like that because of the limited exposure of Asian media due to language barrier or interest. I mean, the "old virgin woman" stigma/trope can still be seen not only in J-Drama but also in K-Drama and C-Drama...

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni - Vol. 9 Ch. 45 - Episode 45

@tuatara1 I think it is pretty much an Asian culture, as I have seen similar sentiment in many Asian countries (east asians, india, south east asians). It's not limited to women (~>25 y.o = too old) but men (~>30 y.o = too old) too. However, I think, being unmarried on late 20s or 30s has become...

@Moonwolf287 her "verbal tic"... she speaks in feminine way by adding -wa in most of her speech. click here for more Just something that is easily lost in translation.

@imanhakimi Depending on the chapter and how much "IRL gets you". Anyway, if it's an exposition heavy chapter, I need to do some cross-reference research, so it'll take longer than usual. Otherwise, it just takes one sitting.

@JakkRo it is a Japanese way to "giving and saving face" tho, by not owning to their achievement or down play it. They even have a saying, a nail that sticks out gets hammered down. Also they have Honne & Tatemae and cultural value of harmony. Also, it is good for you to be proud of your...

@Arkos Isn't he supposed to be an antagonist character, that is a jerk and power hungry assassin who just learned the meaning of love? If anything, this expand his characterization so he's not just a 1D villain, no?
