My guess is some people have very specific expectations of how they want manga to turn out, if it's anything other than what they want, it is bad. I'm still enjoying it, wasn't even aware other people were complaining about it.

Thanks for the translation, although I don't really agree with the idea of referring to a character who considers herself to be female as gender neutral. I don't remember the official English translation referring to her in that way.
