@Lamechial This is Japan in the '90s. He probably actually hasn't seen anyone with red hair in real life. Also, this is black and white, so it's possible that this poser has actually dyed his hair an unnatural blood red.

I assume that jail is magic, because otherwise those bars are so far apart that he could literally just walk out.

@Donutlie In the previous chapter her mother commented on how she's tanned again and warned her to take care of her skin, so I think it is just supposed to be a tan. I guess she's just always been a primarily outdoor kid.

Rereading this, I wonder if the "important role" that (presumably) Chinatsu will have might have something to do with how the Association is relaxing the rules around secrecy. The author has been setting that up for a while, after all.

Damn. I assume Tsukasa and Kohaku won't die (definitely not Kohaku, she's way too important to kill off in a series that blatantly doesn't like killing off characters) because they'll activate the medusa before they do, healing their mortal wounds when they're unpetrified, but I doubt it'll...

Looks like summer vacation is coming to an end, sadly heralding the end of the series. Too bad this can't be like Ika Musume with its endless 400+ chapter vacation.

Not bad, but pretty predictable. From about page 14, you don't even have to read the rest of it basically write it yourself and get every plot point correct.

That was great. I don't know if it really counts as a villainess story, but when it's this fun, that doesn't matter.

@PramTheOracle Yeah, the implication through this whole series is that we didn't remotely see the empire's true power, since all their most powerful forces were busy fighting whatever the threat is from the north. (An onslaught of new world organisms, maybe?) That'll probably be explained...

Considering the amount of comedy in this series, did anyone seriously not expect a happy ending? It just wouldn't match for a series with a ridiculous dog man who can remove his ears to have a grimdark "everyone he loved died" ending.
