Many suggestions similar to this have been made in the past but it's always been rejected because of something about there being a lot of different languages and that type of data being a burden on the servers or something. I bet someone else could explain this better than me...

I feel similarly when I'm binging a lot of chapters, I read so fast (in order to finish it quickly or something) that I don't retain much of the story. So I've been trying to pay more attention to the details in the backgrounds, facial expressions, etc. to slow myself down and "take it in" more.

I don't follow anime/manga artists or news accounts on twitter just to avoid that type of drama. I sometimes check MAL's news section to see what's going on in the anime/manga industry and I follow artists on pixiv. idk if this helps your needs.

I don't think we need this feature since groups can post scanlation updates on their own discord/twitter/whatever. And there's no rule saying scanlators have to wait before they can pick up a series that was being worked on by someone else.
