This is the most promising start to a Railgun Arc since Daihaseisai when Shokuhou was first introduced.
Hope it can wash away the bad taste of the Jailbreaker Arc.
@zaikoi
First off, I really appreciate that you’re the first person that at least tried to properly answer my questions. I just want some meaningful dialogue rather than for readers to turn off their brains. Even if you don’t like me, you still gained some major respect compared to the users...
@ACentralIndex
I'm in general agreement. Daihaseisai's climax was a special case for the entire franchise where the phenomena involved was so extreme it was intentionally left unexplained as it related to the long term mysteries of franchise. Outside of that, everything in the climax was logical...
@ACentralIndex
Just one thing I want to comment on. Until now, when it came to it's supernatural power system (and outside of its core long term mysteries), Raildex didn't have any unexplainable asspulls or deus ex machinas. Everything had an explanation which could be reasoned through and the...
@zaikoi
Alright zaikoi, just because you've been around for a long time, I'll you give a less flippant response.
Fast facts before the main argument:
The fundamental source of power for an esper is their Personal Reality.
The AIM diffusion field (hence referred to as AIMDF) is the weak energy...
@Kampfarsch How about you quote what I actually said:
Your opinion on Index's crappy adaptation is valid but that's as far as it goes.
@zaikoi: That's more headcanon than a proper explanation. No one I've asked on reddit, 4chan or AnimeSuki can give me a clear answer on what it is that Uiharu...
@Kampfarsch
You have no idea what gatekeeping is do you? I never said you couldn't or shouldn't enjoy this arc. At this point you're just shitposting.
@zaikoi
But it doesn't work in reverse unless its Takitsubo Rikou (or Kihara Nayuta). What Uiharu did makes zero sense. The lack of proper...
@Kampfarsch 😑 So you got nothing? Not like I expected better. Cry harder.
@SingLove That's my thought as well. This is Espers 101 and the foundation for how their powers work...
Good riddance to this divisive arc. This is easily the worst canon Railgun arc to date (nothing outdoes the Silent Party Arc after all).
The Jailbreaker Arc had good character moments for the 4 main girls, great action scenes and a bit of Kamijou fanservice; but quite literally everything else...
@Nunally What? 😧Fans can theorize all they want but it has to be based on facts presented in the series.
Uiharu's power is just as scientifically impossible as every other esper power.
What about Telepathy and Precognition?
By the laws of the Index world, Uiharu's power is not uniquely special...
@allenjke
Firstly, agreed its anticlimactic. Kamijou's fight ending punches in the Index manga are better than Mikoto's one here.
Secondly, I think that Kamachi has been on a roll ever since NT18. With the exception of NT19, all of the novels from NT18 onwards have been great.
Thirdly, you are...
@Nunally Y'know, people have made this case to me before but it just hasn't been my experience being with this franchise since before the Index anime aired.
I've found the opposite: the number of actual asspulls that have occurred in this series over its entire 16.5 year run can be counted in...
It's starting to become very apparent how cheated we were with that Index III anime adaptation. Unforgivable.
Also, Holy shit @Hiss13. Where have you been?
@wolfram19
It makes little sense for Kamijou to come plot-wise as he hasn't been present for this entire arc; but meta-wise he's been practically driving the entire plot even in his absence. Everything in Railgun leads back to Kamijou; Dream Ranker seemed like it was the only arc that didn't...
@Yomiel-Metathronos We're currently in a vague part of the timeline where there's no exact date on when this arc is occurring. Just that its after OT16 and before WWIII. So Kamijou is potentially still in Academy City.
AAA foreshadowing could work as well but that needs to be done in a more...
@Yomiel-Metathronos Kihara Noukan's guaranteed to appear by the end of the arc and Heaven Canceler would be able to help after the action's over but my gut is telling me that somehow Kamijou Touma will get involved.
The reason's obvious: this arc is secretly about Kamijou Touma.
It started...
