I'll have to see when/how it ends before I :( over it ending. There's wisdom in knowing when something is done and letting it end rather than dragging it on.
Awww, Yaeshima daddy hitting us with the feels.
I just love it so much that everyone here is a person, their jobs aren't just 'generic work,' they mean something to the people doing them, every relationship is different...
I'm glad I was wrong about us not getting to see what Smith decides right away, but since he's leaving the area, it does seem like the end. Perhaps we'll still get an epilogue showing where everyone is now?
Pariya and Umar finally marry, Karluk is finally grown up and some of their problems...
Honestly, I'm happy to see that minor thing used to embarrass Christina actually show up in her world and be taken really seriously, like Louise is ruined for marriage because of that headpat and Big Bro has to take responsibility.
...Or maybe dudes behaving super honorably in medieval fantasy...
Amir and Karluk are said to live near Bukhara, which is in modern-day Ubekistan, I've heard people speculate that Karluk is an Uzbek(/Karluk), while Amir is a Kazakh.
Agreed, Nik is in the running for best husband and dad.
I bet next chapter we switch back to Amir and Karluk, so we don't get to see Mister Smith's decision right away.
Someone commented a while back that introducing the idea of the brother and friend coming to our world is too tempting, and now the slice of life sections are even more irritating.
They were right; GET ON WITH IT
Uyghur concentration camp stories are going to become the new Holocaust survivor stories, aren't they? I hope the people in China realize how awful their government is and overthrow them, but I would also accept a meteor hitting the Communist party headquarters.
People don't like Smith and Talas? I personally think Amir and Karluk and Anis/Shirin/Nameless Hubby are much less interesting. The whole manga's great, of course, but if I'm rereading it, I tend to only reread the bits with Pariya, twins, or Smith/Talas.
I'm sorry I'm so slow guys ;-; I'm nearly done with the chapter I'm translating, but unless we get someone else on this, I think you can just expect more sporadic releases of a few chapters at a time.
