12 Suicidal Children - Vol. 1 Ch. 1 - First Assembly

A pretty interesting Dangenrompa-esque setting — although the idea of suicide incited by comradery never really made much sense to me.

How old/ongoing is this novel and it’s movie?

@Gustbk It's been released for a year since 2017. I'm surprised no one has picked this up yet, seeing the movie's pretty successful views last year. I'm not really acquainted with the novel, but I know it's released in 2016.

IMO, it's because humans tends to seek for those who shares the same objections and/or background as them, usually strangers. They want to end their life with at least people who share the same views as them, so they won't be judged. Suicide pacts with briquettes cases seem to be pretty often in Japanese, I've seen another example in Unnatural J-drama.

This is totally modelled after the classic with Henry Fonda, 12 angry men, though I prefer the remake with Jack Lemmon.

But just the structure, not the premise. That film also begins with just one dissenter, then two. If the author follows the film, I already knows how this ends.

Will be following nonetheless.

I just watched the live action movie last week. It's one hell of a ride. I'm interested to see if the manga has any substantial differences in terms of plot.

There is a bit of a difference here compared to the movie, relating to No. 1 and No. 5's relation to the location. I won't discuss it any further to avoid spoiling those who have not watched the movie.

@KimonoGirlDabest
I can help you proofread this series too.
