339 Years of Penal Servitude - Vol. 1 Ch. 3.6

Ty for the update

ughhh.. i hoped they wouldnt get caught :( they probably will die.. if reincarnation isnt real then I wonder what happens now, since as readers we know its not the same soul anymore.

@sqrt9 The reincarnation isn't real in this story. It's just a social construct to protect the upper class.

When a criminal dies, the government doesn't hunt babies from the rich. They only hunt babies from the poor.

If you're rich enough, when a great figure dies, your baby gets dibs on the reincarnation as long as the timing is approximately correct.

Even if reincarnation is real, the entire tracking system is heavily flawed to begin with.

I think that the reincarnation might be real for it to be so widely accepted, but actually figuring out who was a past reincarnation is probably imperfect and heavily abused, so the system of claiming who a past life was is largely just a fake.

If reincarnation isn't real, then it will hurt how much we care about the next "haro" if this one dies. I have no idea though, it could go either way. I just don't see them escaping this situation alive in a convincing manner though.

@tlst9999 yeah, agreed. I'm guessing the original haro's great sin was related to finding out the truth based off the wardens last words.

I hope they make it out and this girl doesnt die.

i stumbled upon this by accident. great manga, the premise is very intriguing. i'm looking forward to the continuation.

No no no nononononononononono!!!!!!! Why can't they be happy!!???! 😭

Btw I realized the first page on chapter 1 refers to this Act 3 :(
