Looks like Chiyo's true feelings about Ookuma are leaking out...

For someone who'd "rather not see him again...", this holiday certainly seems to be changing her feelings about Ookuma, who she is getting even closer to. Perhaps the real reason she didn't wanna "ditch the plan" was so that she could have more clandestine meetings with Ookuma in the middle of the night. Makes me wonder what Chiyo would have done if it had been Ookuma instead of Igarashi that asked her if she wanted to ditch the plan...

As a guy, it's hard not to feel sorry for Igarashi whose faith and trust in Chiyo is, unbeknowst to him, completely unjustified. Poor bastard. Once again, Chiyo had the perfect opportunity to open up to Igarashi and explain why she hadn't enjoyed school since she was on the subject.

What else? I was surprised at what a bitch Miyu-chan was being. She really seems to have some emotional issues seeing how she tried her best to grind Shishijima's self esteem into the mud. I don't, for a minute, believe she's actually fallen for Takakura-kun.

@FredFriendly I just can't believe Igarashi took it on the jaw once again and was the guy who was apologizing and having faith/trusting her again. Its like he forgot what he witnissed! Regardless of her wanting to be with everyone what happened to spending time or paying attention to your boy? Igarashi needs to have some dignity and self worth. I feel so terrible for Igarashi cuz hes just getting the short end of the stick every time while Chiyo just has absolutely no consequences for her actions. FUCK YOU CHIYO. I HOPE YOU GET HIT BY A BUS. That said. I will continue to read this series. So thank you very much @FredFriendly for doing all that you do.

I don't know for how much longer I can take this. I just feel so bad for Igarashi...

@xPureHavock Unfortunately, this outcome is not a surprise. This isn't the first time that Igarashi apologized when it shoulda been the other way around, and it probably won't be the last time. Chiyo doesn't seem to have the moral capacity to have a guilty conscience. Hiding the truth about her former "relationship" with Ookuma from her boyfriend for well over a year now, not telling her boyfriend that she met with another man in the middle of the night and that he confessed to her, not telling her "best friend" that the guy she has googly-eyes for was someone she had been interested in but he had been horrible to her, no, none of that makes Chiyo feel guilty in the least, so what does she have to apologize for?? As for the guilty suffering no repercussions, it seems to be a cultural thing, at least as portrayed in manga.

I've been wondering about Miyu and Shishijima for a while - sure, he's overbearing and she's said she despises him, but she does seem to take special pains to trash-talk him, even AFTER SHE DECIDES TO SPLIT OFF IN GROUP WITH HIM. She also seems to have issues with men in general. i'm frankly just waiting for her to have a psychotic break and Lorena Bobbitt one of the boys. 😖

As for Chiyo and Igarashi - feth it, he clearly wants to avoid a conflict here, so whatever. Tactically speaking, it's better this way, as there is at least one other witness to Ookuma's duplicity, and everyone has noticed how Igarashi has been taking pains to defer to Chiyo and the group's harmony.

@fredfriendly

Overall throughout this story do you think Chiyo will ever learn to idk open up and have honest communication with with Igarashi? Because at some point you would think situations like this would be a dealbreaker in a relationship.

the more chapters go by the more i dislike chiyo.. almost wish i didn't start this but now that i'm this far in i have to see it to the end 💩

Well... I refuse to believe that the author receives money for this. She/he must do it for free, right?..... Right?

P.S.: I hate chiyo.

lol

chiyo has a somewhat shitty attitude at times -> she's a thot, hope she dies

just some folks who hate a series having a real normal one

@ColonelPabs254
This would have been the perfect time to ask. But noooooo.
Igarashi does not want to "rock the boat" knowing how Chiyo would react if she didn't like what he said.

I, for one, have no hope that Chiyo will ever open up and be completely honest with Igarashi. They've been a couple for over a year, and it hasn't happened yet so it will probably never happen. I can imagine the only situation where she opens up is when she's bending over his dead body, run over by Truck-kun, crying that she "meant" to tell him all her secrets...

I wonder how many here know that referrence... Although it's been clearly shown that Miyu actually likes Shishijima, or, should I say, does not actually hate him (she would certainly not have given him Valentine's Day choco if she did), her disdain for men probably comes from her slob of a brother.
