not like what's shown in the story, it's more of a long term body adjustment thing.... but smaller stomach do results in less appetite and food needed to become full..
the most popular thing was back in the aristocratic days where ladies liked to wear corsets and thus result in them eating less and stuff
another instance was some old practice in Africa or Arab peninsula iirc about people in hunger tying cold stone to their stomach to override the feeling.... may need to research this for validity....
modern day practice does have stomach reducing surgery (usually done to morbidly obese patients) to help reduce the chance of death in these patients.... again, better to consult legit and practicing doctors..
