A Revolutionary in the Afternoon - Vol. 1 Ch. 2 - A Revolutionist in the Afternoon 2

In the communists days, things weren't that orderly, but it was relaxing and free of worries. Terrorist attacks are almost unthinkable due to how controlled it was. It wasn't heaven, but it was build for a certain type of person and if you don't like it and can't adapt to it, you would find yourself in very bad places. I would say the same as what we have now. We tend to cherry picks stories that fit our narrative like emphasising the secret police in Nazi Germany while to the ordinary Germans at the time, it was safe and peaceful after a long period of chaotic violence and revolutions. We also forgot how dangerous the streets of our capitalist havens are, Chicago, Detroit, New York and even California were a lot worse than Moscow and Berlin back in the days. We don't record stories of those who merely living out their uneventful lives until something eventful happens.
