@beepboop1 I mean, I’m assuming it’s a type of piercing and the author wanted his character/s to have one. I don’t really get what’s confusing about it tbh. You don’t necessarily have to have a reason to get a piercing besides, “it looks cool.”

It's called a surface bar piercing. They generally don't hurt much more than any other piercing somewhere fleshy (tongue, belly button etc).
