Again My Life - Ch. 80

That was dumb. If he planned to make money with the stocks, he should have waited for the news to come out and buy at the lowest price possible. Smh.

Errrrr @legion_01@ladonegro I think that was the plan. You can set up orders to buy stock at X price. I would say that they likely did that and set up an order that would be able to buy shares at the fallen price.

Source: me - I've bought stock before.

EDIT: @winterflower18 yeap. Though not the part about being first. It depends how fast ppl react to the news and how much you want to buy. For buy offers, higher price offers are prioritised first. But essentially since nobody saw this scandal coming, there shouldn't be too many competiting buy offers at such a low price so then they'll be able to catch many of the shareholders that are cashing out.

Oh, so it's like before the price was falling, in stock database they're listed as early birds that wanted to buy Bupil's stocks at X price per share while almost none put that X amount due to low nonsense price reading the current situation. But MC made their reputation bad and it made the stock price fell and as early bidder (?) Both of them will get as much as they wanted fiest before other

@jascaicps1 is that by your mean?

While I understand those who put their stock on sell in various price as they want (and buyer will be buy stock at their okay/desirable price), I never knew something like that can happen too :3

Yeah, he probably made an automatic listing where he buys stocks after the price drops before his competitors to snatch up a lot of the stocks and make a hostile takeover or something.

There is also another type of stock trade( or you can trade in raw currency too ) where you can basically bet money on stocks/currency going up or down in value.
So you could technically make money on stocks falling in price, but doing that doesn't actually get you the stocks themselves...
It's more of a betting system than anything.

If he actually plans to use the stocks for something then it's not really an option, but if he just wants to make money out off it, then it could be a great way to earn money.
Doing that, however, is technically illegal in most countries though as buying/selling stocks with deep inside information is a crime.
( this could be one of the reasons he has his friend do all the trading, we know its not the only one. )
A CEO, for example, isn't allowed to sell his stocks if he knows that the yearly logbook comes out tomorrow and he knows it's going to cause the value to drop on the stocks of his own company.

@Mewth
Beef stock is pretty good too.

I still find it weird that he told the old man to invest as much as possible in the company hes planning to devalue, unless hes planning to make it recover, which wouldn't make sense if he wants to make the wedding be called off. It would make much more sense to invest in the rival company, but even that wouldn't be a guarantee of 3x profit as he speculated. Anyways.. manwhas..
