@isqmu I'd say he had good intentions and was a good man. But got blinded by his depression/anxiety and had changed to who he is now to the point where he'd sacrifice his own family.

So the old him is basically dead, and I personally wouldn't forgive the current him for what he did since this was his fault and he likely won't ever change back to the man he used to be even if he got his money and his family back. Since he's stuck with his newfound addictions.
