Akatsuki no Yona - Vol. 33 Ch. 190 - The Founder's Kin

He's a good guy s- see? That's why his soldiers had been trying to kill them for 100+ chapters y-yeah...

Oh my god.......they're so cute.........................amazing.......i ship them......

😍😘Awww Soo-Won on the first page😘
And I agree- young Yu-Hon is like Hak with kohl under his eyes! 😂

Cute… until he begins viciously decapitating defeated soldiers, that is, and garnering widespread hatred against Kouka. That will be the best part of this flashback, with the possible exception of finding out who killed Yona's mother, why King Joo-nam chose Il as his successor, and whether it's true that the latter had the former killed. That's a lot of exceptions…

I'm starting to feel uncomfortable and I don't know why. I'm totally content with hating Soo-won and when he dies I won't feel bad, but I'm worried Yona is going to make things difficult when she finds out more about the real descendants.

I feel sorry for suwon.. i never hate him even from the 1st chapter, i dont know why, i just feel like he's pitiful from the start😢

This illness might explain why Yona's dad refused to let them marry, but it opens up even bigger problems. If Soo-won's entire reason for rebellion was making the country stronger, how the hell does a monarchy line that lives to their 30s-40s help that? And that's if he even had an heir of his own, which he doesn't. He's just going to subjugate a bunch of countries and expand Kouka's power right before leaving the highest seat of power in the nation empty creating a power struggle while grudges are still fresh? It basically completely undermines the entire reason for the rebellion.

@Secuthar
Perhaps the next step would be to transition from a Monarchy to something else? It wouldn't be easy and I don't think he could pull it off in such a short time, but it would definitely be the next best option. The Country is strengthened and you won't need to rely on a dying Monarch for decisions. It's also probably why he doesn't want to get married despite the protests of that one dude. An heir is important for passing over the crown, but meaningless if the crown doesn't exist.

I really don't know how to feel about this. This is making me a fil bit sad for all of them..

@Pibata Spearheaded his father's wars of aggression, committing war crimes in the process; persecuted the clergy, expelling the High Priest (Ik-soo's predecessor); and is suspected by some readers of being behind the murder of Yona's mother. (I don't have an opinion on the last one, though.)

A small detail: I am sorry to burst your bubble, but most hunting falcons are female, due to the females being larger in size than the males. I am no expert on this so please do not take my word as fact (I am most likely wrong). I merely remembered this from another manga (A bride's story) and looked it up for 5 seconds on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falconry

Wonderful translation by the way! Thank you so very much

@Spotspot01 I had glanced over the same wiki when I first had to choose pronouns, and of course I know female falcons and hawks are larger. What I don't know is whether the assertion that a majority of hawking birds are female is true. Sexual dimorphism is not as pronounced in the gyrfalcon, for example, where the largest wingspan of the male can be 130 cm (to a female's 160), and the weight of the male is about 300 g lower. I mention this one because it was historically used for hawking in the far East and its pattern and size resemble Jeegu's.

But that's just guessing. I doubt the author has done that much research on something of such minor importance to the story. Something about how Hak interacts with Gulfan and Yu-hon interacts with Jeegu makes me think of buddies. But strictly speaking, I should use "it" to refer to them.

It's like soowon and hak in some genderbend alternate universe @.@

So the cursed bloodline ends with soowon or does he have other relatives?

Still can't make me give any f*cks about Soo-Won. Hurry up and get this flashback over so he can freaking die already.

Thank you so much for scanlating this manga!!!
I'm intrigued by all of this new information with the Crimson Dragon, the Crimson illness, Su-won’s parents and so forth...
His parents remind me so much of Yona and Hak. Lol!

Um... He is a little over baring but he doesn't seem bad??? What made him you know.. Flip?
Many thanks

@Byonbyon
You might be onto something. Tree author had written gender blend reincarnation before...
