But yeah, it's for the dramatic i think, if the arrow hit her in the throat they couldnt have the conversation anymore after all. There are enough ways to die from an arrow with plate armor in the end, the place she was hit was only for the story, i mean, even an crossbow would have most likely been deflected if it hit at that point of the armor after all, but she could easily die trough an arrow in a unprotected place.
