@Carnage definitely a bit rushed but I’m not one to complain with monthly manga that are irregularly translated but I feel it was set up that way to introduce the main characters like the second princess

I must have missed something. Why can't he just say "I won't let harm befall my sister or the village I live in anymore" again? A noble just said he asked for a village, that's basically a free pass right there and then.
