I understand the situation... He comes from a family of very dominant, maybe almost toxic women. So as such, he might love lingerie and creating it to suit women, but the reason he seems uninterested in pursuing anything is due to some low-key PTSD. Makes me wonder about his prior education, and basically being forced to be the perfect man, but at the same time having a pretty strong fear of his mother

I think his mother his mother was rough on Edo because of his father vanishing, and resembling him.

I thought the sister didn't feel any because it was her brother (finally someone without that manga kink) while mother did feels something due to her sons similarities with her husband (note that everyone elses thoughts have gone to be about Edo, but her thoughts instead went to be about Edo's father).

Of course, option two about insensitivity of sister is that she's a lesbian, hence no feelings for Edo's gender..

(I believe more in my "familial love trumps lingerie love" theory though)
