I don't think games like that have local storage... it would make cheating easy, and when money's involved that's the last thing you want to happen. While I don't happen to be an expert on this topic, but the basics of any connected game is to make the client a dumb terminal program. Server processes anything that involves data and spits out the results to the clients. Server gives zero trust towards anything clients send in and assume it is lethal poison until proven otherwise. If client is allowed to control anything, it is an avenue for exploits.
