Ani no Yome to Kurashite Imasu. - Vol. 9 Ch. 82 - Diary 82

B R O WHAT THE F U C K ? can this series please stop PLAYING WITH MY GODDAMN SHRIVELED UP HEART

This manga is so gay without being explicitly gay. Truly the epitome of yuri bait.
I just wanna see if this girl cucks her dead brother

Ok that was definitely a gay bar, Heidi is either a very good cross dresser or a trans woman, and I’m kinda leaning the later and Ritsuko is definitely a lesbian.

Something I really like about this series is that there’s a lot going on in the secondary characters lives, outside the protagonist. Up til now we didn’t know very well who Ritsuko was outside of being Nozomis friend. But now we know she’s most likely a lesbian or bi or something. It brings us into these background bits very organically, without having to hammer you in the noggin w em

Yeah, I thought that earlier chapters made it pretty clear that she's had the hots for Nozomi.

Regardless of whether Heidi's a drag queen or a trans woman let's not pull out that particular card please.

This was a happy chapter and i have happy music playing but i still felt something heavy in my heart.

@NinjaGoemon
Good thing i'm dense and ignorant, so i have no idea what you're talking about.

Thank you very much for the translation!! I was actually desperate for this follow up... I didn't know where she was taking Nozomi! so I Saw the raw, I couldn't understand much but my phone managed to translate the "What's so wrong with being dependent?" part and everything connected and all the panels made sense. It was such a huuuuuuuuuge relief hahaha but now that I read everything, it makes it so much better.

But I wonder, when Ritsuko says "The both of them" I wonder if she's talking about Heidi and Nozomi or Nozomi and Shino? because it could mean that Heidi has an arc too or could become a regular character, I don't mind that, I just wonder how it would affect the story.

Also lo/ credit page hahahaha

@ninjagoemon what card? I was just kinda taking in the scene. I feel positively about Heidi whatever way the author intended her, I’m just personally more of a fan of trans characters rather than cd or drag queen characters because I myself am a trans woman. As long as they’re tasteful, of course, hate to see shit get bigoted or anything

@katelyngadd

Holy crap, I was wondering if it actually was a gay bar. But I think it might be based on your reaction.

Also. Whether Heidi is of the male sex or not, it might not matter. But because I was still curious, I tried to look back on that panel of her hands thinking that if I looked at it I'll have a clue. But well, it seems Onee-san was refering the texture of her hands rather than the nails which seem to be the same length in the rest of the panels. We don't have a reference for her voice either... Totally in goddamn purpose.

If the nails where short, we could take a guess and using a Kimono makes the things even more harder as it is an attire meant to accentuate de elegance of the female body by essentially removing the chest department.

Also, it's funny Ritsuko is assuming Onee's bi-sexuality by now.

@Serenata
I interpreted it as both Heidi and Nozomi having things they need to sort out. Hadn't even considered she might have been talking about Shino. I like the idea of Nozomi and Shino sorting out their stuff separately. It'll lengthen the series and allow for (ironically) a less dependent result. Neither here nor there on whether Heidi gets an arc.
