For what it's worth, Destroyer-con quirk aside... I find her overall design very attractive. Although some of her skins follow the "amazing chest ahead" route and pump up the bust size beyond a normal ratio.
And her "Dark Royal" alter design? Ash and Ember's appearance begs a "why did they go this route?", but the Dark Royal art feels like a character that's simply snapped.

I imagine they'll explain it to death and we'll find out the one "normal" Ark Royal in all the simulations is the one that went crazy. While all other shikikans get the Destroyer-con we all know and love... and sometimes have to lock in the HMS dorms.

I honestly have no problem with her personality. After all, it aims to achieve "Gap Moe". And the story so far shows that when she's serious, her destroyer-con rarely appears. However, fandom does what fandom does. They repeat it again and again then it became stale. Her personality could be explored to much more interesting stuffs like yours. I always think that it was her facade to become "less scary" and as time goes on, her facade became her personality.
So far the only artist I know that's very creative about Ark's personality is tabakorin/kinnikusube (The wtf dude). I remember a bittersweet chapter about Ark and Mutsuki. It's about Mutsuki wanted to grow a candy plant (This comic is based on that Juustagram), but Ark told the truth then get beaten by others. Then in the next panel, Mutsuki, in her high school years (Or maybe middle school?), wrote that she just realized that everyone was a liar and Ark actually had a good intention.
I translated his recent comic about Ark many months ago. And honestly, if only I don't lose faith in humanity anytime I browse his pixiv, I'd consider translating his series. Also, I'm sorry for some mistakes in this comic. I translated this comic just to argue and prove my friend wrong. So, I speedrun it at the time.
