She vomited, and well, vomiting in a gas mask isn't really pleasant, so she removed it.

The scene where she mistook her subordinates hurts me tbh. Sure that guy exist in this manga for like 2 panels but the way she mistook him give more depth to her character.

The gas mask vomit scene reminded me of Artemis Fowl of all things. I think the first novel in that series had something similar happen with a few characters who were in hazmat suits or something. That book came out in like 2001 so it's been a while.
