I understand not wanting to commit patricide, but that one deserves it. Its a matter of your kingdom's wellbeing. He better have some sort of redeeming qualities somewhere like being useful for the state or put him down so your kingdom isn't gone in 50 years.

I don't understand how the King will be love interest. He was literally apathetic, still, of her being repeatedly hit by the prince. But she suddenly falls for king?

@yserieh This! I don’t know what needs to happen to make their relationship believable but right now he seems so cold

@karolyn I don't find abuse attractive and even though the King "sorta" seems against it, or rather wouldn't do it himself, it's still pretty gross he repeatedly watch her get smacked around by this kid. lol No sane person would willingly fall in love, right? So weird. This is trauma bonding, aka Stockholm syndrome.
