I don't know why people acted like the author wanted to ship Eugene x Hari.
Hari definitely liked Johan (though their scenes was rather scarce). And I think the chemistry is the chemistry between family, not lovers. Because they are close family and they really loved and missed each other. Well, I sure feels so because I myself was separated from my family for years...

...then again, I'm not the author, so I can only HOPE the author really would NOT pair Hari with Eugene.
